Okay...This was a high school project that, considering the circumstances, went well. However, much of it left much to be desired... Nevertheless, it still makes a valid point and gets the message across. Enjoy!
Here is the synopsis:
“A Father's Song” demonstrates the destructive capabilities of a high school/boarding school environment. The protagonist, Reed, uses his cello as a temporary mend against the harsh attacks of student culture. 'A Father's Song' addresses the issue of emotional pain in a student’s life through new perspectives and a tangible presentation of the intangible themes. As the short progresses the audience is faced with the question of Reed's reaction to the many attacks. Will he stop the quick fix of his musical retreat? Or will he use his gifts to serve and gain true security. The short serves to challenge viewers to evaluate themselves and to recognize the sadness in the punishing effects of student culture on a student in search for an identity.
